Sponsor a Student

There are many potential students in Egypt who cannot afford even the low cost of courses at the LSOCS. Please consider sponsoring one of these Coptic Christians who would benefit from our programme of study..

Although the costs of each course are kept as low as possible it is still difficult for those facing various hardships to afford the fees and participate in the Orthodox educational programmes provided by the London School of Orthodox Christian Studies.

Thanks to the generous provision of some of our supporters we have been able to offer partial and complete scholarships to 6 students in the Middle East and North America.

However, we are aware that there are many more potential students, especially from the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt and the Ethiopian Tewahedo Orthodox Church who have requested support to be able to participate in these courses. We hope to be able to provide opportunities to all those who register an interest in learning more about our Orthodox Faith, but to be able to support those on restricted means and in difficult circumstances such as exist in Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries at present, we do need the financial support of others who will sponsor a student.

All of the funds received for sponsorship will be directed towards allowing one of the many potential students from Egypt, Ethiopia and even in the West, who are not able to afford a course at present to participate in our programmes. The employment situation remains difficult in the Middle East, and even the low cost of our courses is more than many, especially those with families, or unemployed, can afford.

If you are able to sponsor or partially sponsor a student, or several students then please use the payment form provided. All such funds will be immediately directed towards enrolling a disadvantaged student.

Please consider sharing this sponsorship opportunity with friends and family, and with local clergy.

A course currently costs about $200 USD. Any level of support will count towards enabling a disadvantaged student to study for free.
